Taking the boat trip to Thai islands was a great experience and fun. We took 4 islands trip and fortunately we had a quite good weather as well. From the experience of all the other travelers we decided to take less busy kind of tour.
In the morning we got picked up from our hostel in Krabi town. Then we moved to Ao Nang beach where we embarked a longtail boat and began our trip with other 50 tourists (holiday type of people). At some point I started losing the feeling of a traveler and I felt more like a regular tourist. But once you start doing crazy stuff like jumping off the roof of the boat, you get your traveler spirit back!
We visited four different islands (Poda Island / Tup Island / Chicken Island / Phra Nang Cave) in Ao Nang Bay area. I can honestly say that they are phenomenal and the atmosphere of that place is amazing. At some point you find yourself feeling like Leonardo DiCaprio in a movie The Beach (2000).
A quite funny island is Chicken Island which you can see on the picture below!
At the end of our trip we convinced the boat crew to let us stay on the roof till the end of the trip. We enjoyed the way back quite a lot! Unfortunately, we got quite heavily sunburned but that’s of course part of the adventure.
