A recent study by Slingo has identified the top luxury destinations for this year’s holiday. The research considered factors like the abundance of five-star hotels, spas, and fine-dining establishments to determine a luxury destination ranking. Based on this score, the study ranked each holiday destination to determine the world’s most luxurious location.
Abu Dhabi (UAE), which offers beaches of the highest standard and year-round sunshine, is the most luxurious place on our list (8.17/10). Slingo found that 41% of hotels in Abu Dhabi offer massage services, including Beach Rotana – Abu Dhabi and Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi, and that nearly one-fifth (22%) are rated 5 stars.
Cabo San Lucas in Mexico secured the second spot (with a rating of 7.93 out of 10) and appeals to travelers globally due to its stunning beaches, sunny climate, and upscale resorts. It is the ideal destination for indulging in the luxury of infinity pools, with 10% of hotels featuring these mesmerizing “no-edge” pools. Prominent examples include Nobu Hotel Los Cabos and Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. Additionally, approximately 41% of hotels offer in-room Jacuzzis, while 15% boast a prestigious 5-star rating.
With a rating of 7.37 out of 10, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, ranks third among the most opulent destinations for those looking for a luxurious beach vacation. It stands out as an ideal spot for swim-up bars, with about 20% of hotels offering this coveted feature. In addition, one in ten hotels (10%) offer indoor pools, including prestigious properties such as Grand Oasis Resort and Albatros Laguna Vista Resort. In addition, this research revealed that 6% of hotels, such as Rixos Premium Seagate, offer the relaxing experience of lounging in an infinity pool.
